Hobbies are time consuming!
I remember when I first took up a hobby about 10 years ago. I had decided to learn the art of prestidigitation, slight of hand. That’s right, I’m a nerd who likes to do magic 😀 Well, it turns out, learning magic is hard. It took hours of practice, not to mention venturing out to learn from other experts and finding resources on the art. It was expensive too. It took time away from my family and, along with work and jiu-jitsu training, it was a challenge.
However, I did accomplish my goal of becoming a decent slight of hand card artist. But here was the secret, I learned how to balance it.
I also learned something important…
“IF YOU WAIT FOR THINGS TO BE EASY, YOU WON’T ACCOMPLISH ANYTHING WORTH DOING.”
Here’s a video where I talk about balancing life and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, something I’ve done all my life. Give it a watch. Even if you don’t train BJJ, use the advice to apply to some other aspect of your life.
If you have an interest in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and want to try it we have the perfect program for you!
